Provision of Professional Assessment Service for the Project
"Development of Using Interactive Whiteboards
in Enhancing Learning and Teaching in Schools"

Commissioned by the Hong Kong Education and Manpower Bureau to i-Control Ltd. of Hong Kong, "The development of Using Interactive Whiteboards in Enhancing Learning and Teaching in Schools" is an evaluation project which lasts from Jan 2005 to Apr 2006. Ten local pilot schools were installed with Interactive Whiteboards (IWB) and its effectiveness on teaching and learning is evaluated by a group of researchers from the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong Baptist University and the Hong Kong Institute of Education.

The IWB is found to be effective in promoting interactions among teachers and students, motivating students to learn, enhancing teachers' presentations and improving teaching and learning efficiency and effectiveness.
