Introduction

Served as a teacher in Kowloon Rhenish School for 12 years.

Mr Tse is currently a full time Instructor in Centre for the Advancement of Information Technology in Education (CAITE), Hong Kong Institute of Educational Research, The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK). Joining CAITE since 2005, he is now teaching courses of the Master of Arts Programme in Information Technology in Education and Postgraduate Diploma in Education Programme. The modules that Mr Tse teaches include:

In addition to teaching university programmes, Mr Tse has been teaching of different Refresher Training Courses, commissioned by Education Bureau (EDB), open to almost all primary and secondary school teachers in Hong Kong. The courses that he has been teaching are listed below. He is also the course designer of the last two courses.

*Using WebQuest and Concept Map Tool to Facilitate Students' Self-learning
*Developing Interactive eBooks to Promote e-Learning in Schools
*Intermediate Course on Design on Application of WebQuest in Learning and Teaching in Primary and Secondary School
*Using Weblog to Promote Reading and Writing of the Chinese Language in Primary and Secondary Schools

Mr Tse is also an investigator of different IT in education projects, such as ¡§Global Learning Community among Primary Education through 3-I Project Learning¡¨, ¡§Evaluation of the Implementation and the Impact of the ¡§WebQuest¡¨ Refresher Training Course on Students¡¦ Learning¡¨, ¡§Project-based Learning with Learning Villages among Schools in the Mainland, Hong Kong and the USA¡¨ , ¡§WebQuest Training Centre & Resources Platform ¡VDeepen the Development of Inquiry Learning & Project-based Learning Supported by Network Environment¡¨ and ¡§Project-based Learning for Hong Kong - Taiwan School Pairs on a Game-based Collaborative Learning Platform.¡¨

Before joining CUHK, Mr. Tse was the Coordinator of IT Committee, Chairman of School Equipment Unit, Committee Member of Teacher Professional Development Committee and Vice-chairperson of General Studies in Kowloon Rhenish School. Besides, he has served as an external reviewer, project leader and committee member of various IT in different education projects funded by Quality Education Fund.

Mr Tse is a prize winner of various professional and academic awards, such as Director¡¦s Award of HKIEd, Best Academic Performance, Best Performance in General Studies, Best Performance in Professional Studies, Outstanding Teaching Practice, Dean¡¥s List in PGDE and Sir Robert Black Trust Fund Postgraduate Scholarships from Home Affairs Bureau of Government Secretariat etc.

Mr Tse is an instructor of research and practice in promoting IT in education. In the past, he has published nearly 20 book chapters, journal papers, research reports and conference papers. He presents research papers regularly at international conferences, including American Educational Research Association Annual Meeting, International Conference on Computers in Education and Global Chinese Conference on Computers in Education etc.
