Since 2000, Michael has been teaching undergraduate and postgraduate courses, with various topics in C & Java Programming, Object-Oriented Programming, Virtual Reality, Computer Graphics & Animation as well as thesis preparation.  He also offered courses for the PGT ( 資優課程 ) and University Preparatory Courses ( 大學課程預備班 ).  In 2003, he co-organized the Hong Kong Computer Game-Maker Challenge 2003 .

He joined the Department of CS&E in 1999 as an Assistant Computer Officer, managing The Virtual Reality, Visualization and Imaging Research Centre.  He worked closely with the Prince of Wales Hospital in Hong Kong to develop clinical diagnosis systems.
